Showroom Paris l'après-midi
A discreet haven in the heart of Paris
Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, just steps from Montparnasse, Paris l’après-midi cultivates a particular sense of discretion.
Nothing ostentatious here, only a singular, almost suspended place where textiles reveal themselves in quietude and perfect light.
The showroom, conceived like a workshop, sets the tone immediately. Raw wooden floors, clean lines, precise lighting,
everything is designed to let the materials speak for themselves. Fabrics are meant to be both seen and touched, unveiling,
through gestures, the depth of colors and the subtlety of textures.

A unique approach to textile curation
Founded by Dominique Chevalier, the house embodies a sensitive and exacting approach to textiles, where material is always at the core. Trained at the Beaux-Arts and inheriting a rich textile culture, she has developed over the years a language nourished by artisanal know-how and the regions that sustain them.
Two collections to travel through textures
Balades gathers in-stock fabrics, designed as a living palette. Velvets, linens,
and cashmeres converse in subtle color harmonies, often inspired by landscapes, fleeting impressions, or memories of places.
Caprices, conversely, opens the field of bespoke creation. Here, materials are allowed to exist fully: rare fibers, handwoven fabrics, artisanal dyes. Cashmere, yak, nettle, or banana fibers become the starting point for unique pieces, crafted in collaboration with ateliers preserving traditional techniques.
Through these two lines, Paris l’après-midi asserts a vision of textiles as living matter, capable of inhabiting spaces with precision. Neither ostentatious nor static, they accompany interiors, capture light, and reveal volumes. Cashmere and yak throws extend this pursuit of balance between softness and presence, essential yet precious pieces inviting both touch and gaze.

A privileged appointment
As much a meeting place as a creative space, the showroom welcomes architects, decorators, and collectors in a direct,
almost intimate relationship. Projects are developed through dialogue, following the rhythm of materials and intentions.
Visiting Paris l’après-midi is like entering a workshop: a moment to take time, refine choices, or simply be surprised
by the silent richness of textiles.
